What a ponderous
Moralistic ponder.
Create an idol, whatever idol it may be, a human though!
Singaporean, American, not cows, or statues, a human though!
A Super Celebrity, while at it
A vehicle of conformity, an idol though!
“But I’m just an artiste”, an idol though!
Do they just sell or do they preach as well?
Is it their passion or it became an illusion, illusioned?
Mostly believed they mean well, sure as hell.
“..none’d buy if I can’t sell..”
Disillusioned?.
Sending into, what they experienced
Or just penning what sounds cool.
“Hell, I’m an artiste, not a medium of conformity.”
Entertainment is just entertainment.
Try not to get confused with fulfillment.
The ever-searching-young that left home.
--“No one dragged me by the hair and left the key inside,
I found the gate and locked the door from its outside.”
Then again there’s the tv.
Don’t just follow the masses
But that’s the flow I’m sure.
Pick it up then
Not hook it up then
Learn a bit then
Grab a book then—
“Wow! He’s cool. Wow! She’s a babe.”
They look and they sound nice.
They entertain and made a side-dish
Or their bowl of rice.
Celebrities, some artistes
Some inspire and are sincere,
For whose cause it be, that’s up to us to desire.
Don’t blame others for what they believe in
Don’t blame others for what they kill in-
Feeling what they’re feeling,
Its just filling time in
Be in their shoes, I feel great within!
Living their drama
Having a lifestyle!
Wow!
Follow suit! Hah!
They have it in their pockets. Bah!
So do be careful what you feed your brain with
Songs may just be songs
But lyrics have meanings
Although people usually write of good
And half a dozen, of pain
And that what tends to be easily absorbed by the brain,
The ‘fashionable’ brain, is
The redundant good
So what else is ‘bad’.
Sex sells and billboards rely on it!
All the more with Mtv.
Tv- television
Mostly its just constant repetition
Nothing like ‘prime time’ to feed the soul!
Well I think I should end here. END!
Its up to us then, what we want to acquire!
[the writer is not against evolution, tv and media. He is just concerned about the degenerating moralistic values that one sees while at play or at work during everyday living. What these values may be is up to one to interpret. At this point of time, he is making his way into an unknown realm in search of the true meaning of debauchery! Peace. : D ]
